GAME INTRODUCTION
What to know before you play
MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls released August 6, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. Arc System Works built it as a 4v4 team fighter, and the current PlayStation page identifies 20 playable launch characters. Keep that roster separate from later Year 1 fighters and from lobby cosmetics.
The checked US PS5 prices were $59.99 Standard, $84.99 Digital Deluxe, and $99.99 Ultimate. Digital Deluxe adds the Year 1 Character and Stage Pass, Howard the Duck lobby avatar, and Cosmo lobby pet. Ultimate adds those items plus five character costumes and an animated chromatic color unlock. Howard and Cosmo should not be counted as launch fighters based on those descriptions.
Steam's August 23 aggregate was Mixed: 3,008 positive and 3,323 negative reviews, with 1,780 players at the live check. That supports ongoing patch and support coverage but does not establish why every negative review was written.
This first pack does not publish a tier list or combos. Those require current frame data or reproducible training-mode evidence. Official roster, edition, platform, and update facts come first.
