GAME INTRODUCTION

What to know before you play

The Sinking City 2 is available now on Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It is a single-player, third-person survival horror—not a direct continuation of the first game's open-world detective structure. Frogwares describes the sequel as semi-open-world, with heavier emphasis on combat, exploration, inventory pressure, and survival.

How this sequel is structured

Arkham is divided into connected, water-damaged districts traveled on foot and by skiff. Shortcuts support returning for supplies and upgrades. Optional investigations can open safer routes and reward equipment or resources, while the main route remains available without completing every side case.

Combat is deliberately resource-lean. Frogwares' own support advice says to focus aim on weak points, lower difficulty when needed, avoid encounters that do not block the objective, and return better equipped. This is a more useful starting rule than treating every visible enemy as required combat.

Current launch state

Frogwares published PC Hotfix 1.0.2 on August 23 for Steam, GOG, and Epic. It adds an outdated-driver warning, improves some PSO-related hitches, and fixes a rare navigation-mesh crash. The official known-issues list still warns about changing settings during gameplay, the Low preset, and unstable DLSS Performance modes.

Puzzle-specific searches such as safe codes and a complete walkthrough are real demand, but they are not filled here with guesses. Those pages require current-build route evidence tied to recognizable rooms, objectives, and completion signals.
