What to know before you play
Halo: Campaign Evolved released July 28, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. It is a modern remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, with current account, installation, performance, co-op, and platform support—not a simple relisting of the 2001 executable.
In co-op, the fireteam leader's progress determines the available missions and skulls. Changing the leader can therefore change what a fireteam can launch. Crossplay is supported, but players still need current versions, platform online permission, and the account-linking setup described by Halo Support.

Steam's August 23 review snapshot was Mixed, with 8,059 positive and 4,910 negative reviews. That establishes divided launch sentiment, not one universal fault.
