What to know before you play
Big Ambitions is a role-playing business simulator from Hovgaard Games. You start with a character in New York, open and operate small businesses, then build toward larger companies by managing property, equipment, stock, employees, schedules, and logistics. Version 1.0 released for Windows and macOS on August 28, 2026.

How the business loop fits together
A business begins with a location and the equipment needed for its type. It then needs products or production inputs, employees and opening-hour coverage, and a way to keep stock moving. As the operation grows, vehicles, warehouses, managers, factories, and other services reduce the work the player handles directly.
The character also has personal needs and expenses, so expansion competes with rent, transport, wages, inventory, and working cash. Big Ambitions suits players who enjoy building systems and checking why one link in an operation is failing. It is less about a single optimal build than about keeping several connected businesses running.
Current status: Version 1.0
The 1.0 release added the Hamptons, a private driver, Speedy Bites delivery work, banking and tax revisions, partial loan and investment actions, a Pricing Manager, minigames, and other quality-of-life changes. Older Early Access advice about banking, pricing, factories, blueprints, or staffing may no longer describe the current build; the dedicated update page tracks those differences.
