Current hardware and official Workshop support in one troubleshooting-ready reference.

Big Ambitions 1.0 supports Windows, macOS, and Steam Workshop. The Windows minimum lists 8 GB RAM, a GTX 960-class GPU with at least 2 GB VRAM, and 12 GB free storage.

Both tiers list Windows 10 and a 64-bit processor/OS.

macOS support

The current Steam record includes a macOS build. Check the Mac tab on the product page for the current OS and hardware detail before buying; a Windows GPU name should not be copied as a Mac compatibility guarantee.

Official mod workflow

EA 0.11 integrated Steam Workshop mod support into the game and added an in-game uploader plus sample Unity tools. The practical safety rules are:

1. Back up an important save before adding or removing gameplay mods.
2. Install one major mod at a time so a failure can be isolated.
3. Check that the mod supports version 1.0.
4. Record the mod list when reporting a broken save, UI, or factory.
5. Reproduce a bug without optional mods before treating it as a base-game defect.

Blueprint compatibility warning

Opening the Blueprints panel after the 0.11 mod changes updated blueprint data; the official note says those updated blueprints could not be opened in previous versions. Version filters were added to help find compatible layouts. A modded blueprint may also depend on Workshop items that must be present before installation.

Storage planning

Steam lists 12 GB free space, but leave additional room for updates, Workshop files, shader/cache data, and temporary patching. The store requirement is not a promise that an installation drive can remain completely full.
