GAME INTRODUCTION
What to know before you play
Where Winds Meet is a free-to-play open-world wuxia action RPG developed by Everstone Studio and published by NetEase Games. The PC version released November 14, 2025, and the game is also available on Xbox, PS5, and mobile. The official Xbox Launch FAQ says character data can be shared across Xbox, PC, PlayStation, and mobile when you use the same bound account in the same server region. If you already play elsewhere, bind that account to Xbox before creating an Xbox character.
The game mixes a solo story set in China's Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period with a shared world. Exploration uses parkour, Windstride, fast travel, underground spaces, and regional activities. Combat supports melee, ranged, and stealth approaches, with weapons such as swords, spears, dual blades, rope darts, bows, fans, and umbrellas. Mystic Arts, professions, factions, reputation, guild activities, co-op, raids, and PvP sit around that core.
Who it suits
Where Winds Meet fits players who want martial-arts combat, a large historical-fantasy world, and freedom to alternate between story, exploration, social systems, and multiplayer. The number of side systems can feel busy if you only want a short linear action game. New players are better served by following the main quest until their movement, weapon, and Mystic Art options are established.
Current update: Clouded Revelation
Version 2.1 focuses on reconnecting Hidden Mountain: repairing water rails, using construction with Mystic Skills, and completing the server-wide Cloudstair before Heaven's Threshold opens. The update also adds Evershift Labyrinth content, two named mechanical world bosses, control changes, and fixes for specific quests.
