EA's current release pages list eight standard specializations, their shared ability structure, seven named Operators, and custom characters players can create.
Star Wars Zero Company has eight standard specializations: Assault, Gunslinger, Heavy, Medic, Scoundrel, Scout, Sharpshooter, and Soldier. EA says most Operators use one of those roles. Each specialization has an Ultimate, a Standard ability, and a Passive unique to that specialization.
The game released on August 27, 2026. The list below reflects EA's current Operators and Specializations pages, checked September 2.

Named Operators and custom characters
EA's current Operators page names these featured characters:
- Hawks
- Trick
- Tel-Rea Vokoss
- Cly Kullervo
- Luco Bronc
- Jae Mordant
- Kabb Uppercut
That page also says players can recruit custom characters they create themselves. EA's game overview separately says Hawks' combat specialization and appearance can be customized, while the squad can include original and custom-made characters with tailored appearance, loadouts, and abilities. Those statements establish customization options; they do not establish a full roster total or every customization choice for every named Operator.
What the official pages establish
This is a roster-and-role reference, not a ranking. EA's pages identify the role names, shared ability structure, featured Operators, and custom-character premise. They do not publish a supported comparison of role performance or a complete build comparison, so this page does not infer either.
