Victor Wembanyama, Caitlin Clark, and Derrick Rose headline the Standard, Deluxe, and Ultra editions respectively.
NBA 2K27 has three official cover athletes: Victor Wembanyama on Standard, Caitlin Clark on Deluxe, and Derrick Rose on Ultra. These are edition covers, not three different basketball games.
| Edition | Cover athlete | US suggested price | Availability note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | Victor Wembanyama | $69.99 | Base-game launch edition |
| Deluxe | Caitlin Clark | $99.99 | Adds listed VC and MyCAREER/MyTEAM items; early access has expired |
| Ultra | Derrick Rose | $149.99 launch offer | Official limited sale ended September 6 |
What the cover does—and does not—mean
The athlete on the art identifies the edition. 2K's published edition contents do not announce athlete-specific gameplay differences. Compare the actual bundle before buying: Standard is the base game, while Deluxe adds virtual currency and digital MyCAREER/MyTEAM items. Early access has expired, and Ultra's official limited sale window has ended.
Wembanyama is the Standard Edition athlete. Clark headlines Deluxe and, according to 2K, is the first WNBA player to appear alone on a global NBA 2K cover. Rose is the Ultra Edition athlete; Ultra is also the edition with the highest listed VC amount and season-pass items.
What this page does not claim
The cover reveal is not a player-ratings table. Wembanyama, Clark, and Rose being on the packaging does not prove any specific in-game overall rating. Use the official Top 100 ratings reference for the published values instead.
Use the post-launch edition comparison for the bundle contents that still matter and the release-status page if a purchased copy remains locked after launch.
