GAME INTRODUCTION
What to know before you play

Ghost of Yōtei is a released PlayStation 5 game. Complete Edition packages the base game and Legends with the paid Echoes of Sekigahara expansion and Most Wanted mode, while patch 2.0 also gives every base-game owner several free features.
Choose the correct ownership answer
- Compare Complete Edition and the $14.99 upgrade.
- Separate free patch 2.0 features from paid content.
- Read what is confirmed for Echoes of Sekigahara.
- See the current Most Wanted mode contract.
- Check Legends co-op player count and PS Plus.
Complete Edition is a bundle, not a second base game
New buyers can purchase Complete Edition for the current US list price of $69.99. It grants immediate access to the released main game and Legends; Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted arrive with patch 2.0 on October 1 globally and October 2 in some territories. Existing owners can add the two new paid experiences through the $14.99 Complete Edition Upgrade.
Complete Edition also includes prior Digital Deluxe in-game content and the Charm of Hokkyokusei. Digital purchases by September 30 receive an early Sakai Armor unlock on the October patch date.
Free and paid changes arrive together
Patch 2.0 is the delivery vehicle for paid content, but not everything in it requires the upgrade. All owners receive Beauty of Yōtei mode, additional Watanabe Mode tracks, an option to keep one armor appearance while using another set's stats, and a high-contrast accessibility option.
This distinction prevents a common support failure: buying the upgrade to solve a missing free setting, or expecting the two paid modes from the base patch alone.
What cannot be written yet
Echoes and Most Wanted are not playable on August 24. Their official descriptions support release, premise, modes, characters, and entitlement pages. They do not support a story walkthrough, new-weapon route, bounty tier list, perk meta, or trophy guide. Those require patch 2.0 and direct reproduction.
