What to know before you play
Dead by Daylight: Chorus of Sin released August 25, 2026 with one Killer, The Judgment, and one Survivor, Aurora Stardotter. It is the game's first community-created Chapter and runs on live patch 10.1.0. The US Steam DLC price was $7.99 when checked on August 28, and the Dead by Daylight base game is required.

The Judgment does more than replace hooks with a new animation. Divine Light can injure and mark Survivors. Heretics receive special generator Skill Checks and may repent at Shrines. A downed Heretic can be sent into Exile; other Survivors can use active Shrines to help, while The Judgment becomes Zealous and strengthens Divine Light.
Aurora's kit is not a mirror of the Killer. Boon: Steadfast affects generator regression and repair inside the Boon area. Fruits of Your Labor rewards completed generators with Haste and accumulated healing value. Salvation's Cry exchanges aura information during a chase so the team can read pressure.
What the Chapter purchase includes
The official Chapter page names The Judgment, Aurora Stardotter, and two exclusive Chapter items: Peridot Incarnation for The Judgment and Fate's Chosen for Aurora. Steam identifies the product as DLC, not a standalone game. Maps and broad base-game systems follow Dead by Daylight's own availability rules rather than becoming a separate executable.
This hub does not label a “best build” on release week. Build claims require repeatable live matches, opponent context, and a defined patch. The pages below explain the published mechanics and current numbers so later strategy can be versioned instead of guessed.
