Warframe Tau Release Date, Platforms, and Confirmed Content

The exact Tau date is unannounced; the official 2026 window and core content are confirmed.

Warframe: Tau is officially coming to all platforms in 2026. Digital Extremes has not announced an exact month, day, launch time, preload, or download size. Any more precise date currently shown elsewhere is not confirmed by the publisher.

What is confirmed

• Tau moves the cinematic story beyond the Origin System into a binary-star system.
• The first revealed setting is Fornax, a corrupted Sentient orbital ring city.
• The city includes a new Drowner enemy faction, the Hunra crime boss, the Portau card game, and the new Warframe Brysko.
• The TennoCon recap says another location will be revealed for the full update.
• The update is scheduled for 2026 on all current Warframe platforms.

The official roadmap also places Iceblade of Narin before Tau in fall 2026. Use the fall update page for that separate release window.
