A pre-launch checklist for the September 23 update, including the October 7 Banshee deadline and the systems worth preparing for now.
Warframe: Iceblade of Narin launches September 23, 2026 on all platforms. Log in from September 23 through October 7 to receive a free base Banshee and one built Forma. Before launch, use Digital Extremes' readiness checker while signed in to see where your account sits in the main story questline.
Before September 23
- Sign in on the official Iceblade of Narin page and run the story-readiness check.
- Finish only the questline steps the official checker identifies for your account; do not follow an invented universal prerequisite list.
- Do not spend resources on a “best Narin build” before final abilities, acquisition, and release-build numbers are available.
- Set a reminder to log in before October 7 if the free Banshee and built Forma matter to you.
The free reward is not limited by Mastery Rank according to the official notice. The page does not describe a promo code or a separate web claim; the stated action is to log in during the event window.
What ships with the update
| Confirmed item | What it means before launch |
|---|---|
| Narin, the 66th Warframe | Identity and theme are official; builds and farm routes must wait for release-ready evidence |
| Yuvan Peak | A new hub connected to the update's story |
| New six-player mode | Group size is confirmed; optimal roles and farming efficiency are not |
| Banshee rework | Improved kit synergy, survivability, effects, and usability are official goals |
| Free Banshee + built Forma | Login reward available September 23–October 7 |
| Riven reroll changes | Players will be able to preserve selected traits with Kuva |
| Riven Splicers | Two Riven traits can be combined into a new trait from a special pool through the Orbiter Mod Segment |
| Samsung Galaxy Store version | Announced as coming soon; the official page does not give a separate date here |
Banshee: claim first, rebuild second
The rework aims to make Banshee's sound-based abilities work together more smoothly while improving survivability and usability. Those goals justify rechecking an old build after the update, but they do not establish final mod priorities before the release build is live.
Claim the free frame, read the final ability values in the live update, and then decide whether an existing build still fits. Tau remains a separate later-2026 update; use the Tau date and platform page instead of mixing Tau systems into this preparation list.
