A current ability reference after Raven's first balance and bug-fix patch.
Raven is a close-range firearm Descendant whose base kit rewards shotgun hits, Trace application, repositioning, and repeated area attacks. Patch 1.4.1 changed key numbers and fixed several launch bugs.
Base kit
| Slot | Function |
|---|---|
| Queen of Darkness | Restores Shield on kills; with a shotgun, increases Firearm ATK and movement and adds shell-count-based damage |
| Shadow Shot | Deals more damage at close range and applies Trace |
| Raven Feather | Sends out Blade Feather, applies Bleed nearby, then lets Raven retrieve it and move to its position |
| Shadow Step | Moves forward, applies Trace, and grants Veil of Night damage protection plus stronger shotgun direct attacks |
| Vendetta | Area attack usable for up to five streaks, with stronger close-range damage |
Two exclusive modules
Nightfall changes Raven Feather to Raven's Claw. The claws target strong enemies and gain effects based on the number summoned. Patch 1.4.1 set the maximum number of Raven's Claw to 10 and fixed stack and persistence problems.
Law of the Back Alley adds Edict effects, firearm additional damage based on accumulated Edicts, and a period of no round consumption after Shadow Step. The developer summary describes it as the route that is not confined to shotgun-only play.
Patch 1.4.1 numerical changes
| Change | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Shadow Shot shotgun charges | 5 | 3 |
| Raven Feather cooldown | 18 sec | 15 sec |
| Trace activation damage | 5,222.0% | 6,503.0% |
| Raven's Claw maximum | Incorrect/limited behavior | 10 |
Raven Feather's projectile speed also increased.
Launch bugs fixed
The patch fixed Nightfall's stack count after spawning, an incorrect four-stack maximum, Blade Feather sometimes failing near an enemy, Queen of Darkness not activating with a shotgun, and Raven's Claw remaining after Raven moved too far away. Raven's leaderboard was scheduled for reset because of the changes.
Build boundary
The official text explains mechanics; it does not prove one best weapon, module roll, or damage rotation for every activity. Any build ranking should identify Patch 1.4.1, weapon Quality, Arche Activity, module rolls, target, party buffs, and measured clear data.

Did Patch 1.4.1 change Raven?
Yes. It changed Shadow Shot charges, Raven Feather cooldown, Trace damage, maximum Claw stacks, and several Raven bugs; this page does not turn those values into an untested best build.
