Read the current protocol, check its priority exception before issuing a pass, and keep ward research and city containment separate from desk accuracy. This stage route leads to the Day 30 Shift Map, not an identical visitor queue.
Advance by solving two different problems: apply today's checkpoint protocol correctly, and keep the city's chosen solution ahead of its crisis. Accurate visitor checks alone do not guarantee campaign survival. This route identifies the major handoffs from your first shift to the Shift Map; it does not prescribe a fixed visitor queue, guaranteed earnings, or every ending.
Campaign stage route
The checkpoint is only one part of progression
A stage route—not a fixed queue or an all-branches script.
- 01Opening deskRead today's rules and distinguish admit, deny, and Security.
- 02Containment handoffReturning passengers → ward research → city operations.
- 03Second-stage testingUV checks, then blood-sample analysis on the documented route.
- 04Third-stage testingRorschach and blood types; also follow current fingerprint guidance.
- 05After Day 30Finish the story scene and follow the Shift Map tutorial.
Read the route as text
- Opening deskRead today's rules and distinguish admit, deny, and Security.
- Containment handoffReturning passengers → ward research → city operations.
- Second-stage testingUV checks, then blood-sample analysis on the documented route.
- Third-stage testingRorschach and blood types; also follow current fingerprint guidance.
- After Day 30Finish the story scene and follow the Shift Map tutorial.
| Stage | New responsibility | Check before moving on |
|---|---|---|
| Opening shifts, Days 1–5 | Documents, body scans, photographs, medical certificates | Match the required response, not just the suspicious detail |
| First containment stage, Days 6–14 | Returning elevator passengers, Isolation Ward, City Operations, organ and bone scans | Research and operations are separate jobs; a clean desk report does not settle the city problem |
| Second stage, Days 15–24 on the documented route | UV markings and later blood-sample analysis | Finish the relevant test and evaluate the permitted exception before acting |
| Third stage, Days 25–30 on the documented route | Rorschach answers and later blood-type testing | Read exact result wording; do not reuse the previous shift's permitted result |
| After Day 30 | Shift Map tutorial and alternate outcomes | Finish the story transition, then change a meaningful earlier crisis branch |
These day ranges describe the illustrated release route. Other crisis branches can introduce different threats. The August 27 update also added a third-floor fingerprint scanner; follow its live tutorial rather than treating a launch walkthrough's equipment list as exhaustive.
Before every checkpoint decision
- Open today's instructions and identify any condition that explicitly overrides other instructions.
- Compare the documents required by that shift. Keep a simple mismatch separate from a forged document or a named anomaly.
- Perform the checks needed to evaluate the priority exception. Do not stop at the first ordinary violation if another required test can override it.
- Select the response actually specified: admit, deny, or call Security. Denial and Security are not interchangeable.
- Check the returning elevator when that system is available, then review ward and city work before ending the day.
For a concrete early trap, Day 11's bone rule distinguishes denying an anomaly from calling Security for a forged medical certificate. Do not carry that Day 11 response into every later skeleton check.
When desk accuracy is not enough
Use the ward and city checklist if the outbreak is growing despite accurate inspections. Research unlocks operations; an operation influences city progress. These are not extra visitor checks, and an arbitrary operation may not advance the solution you intend.
Compare the solution and crisis bars and check your sanity before spending it. If the target solution is already far behind, returning only to the last failing day may leave too little time to alter the outcome. Use the ending route to choose a meaningful earlier branch once the map is available.
Blood analysis is not a blood-type shortcut
The documented second stage introduces taking a sample, analyzing it with the microscope, and printing the result. Later shifts also introduce a blood-type test. A named blood anomaly and an ABO/Rh type are different results with different daily rules.
Use the on-screen tutorial and printed result. This guide does not publish a guessed four-color decoding matrix: the available evidence does not establish a reproducible current strip layout. A familiar real-world blood-type rule cannot substitute for the game's interface.
Finish the first route without losing your branch
Continue through the Day 30 story scene rather than stopping at the apparent ending. Two external playthroughs show the transition into the Shift Map tutorial. The Shift Map guide explains this interface; mode and upgrade boundaries explain when a new game is necessary instead.
