The exact normal and Extreme entry rules, including alliance guarantees, priority, and resurrection limits.
Forked Tower: Magic requires Knowledge level 40 and completion of its North Horn unlock quest. Entry uses an aetherial node that appears during Auroral Mirage; no cipher is required.
Normal entry
The node transports up to 48 players. If more than 48 board, the game selects entrants randomly. Parties are accepted or rejected together, and unsuccessful eligible players gain Forked Tower Priority for future attempts.
An alliance of at least 24 players always receives a new instance. Players outside that alliance cannot enter its instance. In the normal tower, jobs and phantom jobs can be changed outside combat.
Extreme differences
| Rule | Forked Tower Magic (Extreme) |
|---|---|
| Group size | Alliance of 12–48 players |
| Knowledge | Level 40 |
| Job switching | Only at the start of the instance |
| Resurrection | Limited by a stack-based status; once stacks reach zero, further resurrection is blocked |
| Re-entry after return or abandoning | Not permitted |
Arcane Amulets from either tower can be traded to the expedition antiquarian at X:39.3 Y:38.6. This page covers access and rules, not boss mechanics or a clear guide.
For jobs used inside the duty, see phantom jobs and soul shards.
