Can you play before the 2027 release?
SEGA is running a temporary Closed Network Test for selected applicants, but registration is closed. The network-test page owns the current schedule, supported test platforms, region, invitation, and crossplay details. Test access is not a preorder or retail license.
Wishlist is not preorder
SEGA directs players to wishlist pages, and Steam says the game is not yet available while showing only a 2027 window. The checked SEGA and Steam records do not announce a purchasable package or launch price.
A wishlist sends availability updates. It does not reserve a copy, charge a card, reveal an edition, or prove a preorder bonus. Search pages that label the current buttons “preorder” are describing the wrong transaction state.
Xbox Play Anywhere is not Game Pass
SEGA labels the game Xbox Play Anywhere. None of the cited records announces a Game Pass catalog release; Play Anywhere and Game Pass therefore must not be presented as the same claim.
The free September network test is also separate. Test access is selected, temporary, and tied to one applied platform; it does not create retail ownership.
What is still unannounced
SEGA has not published an exact 2027 date, US launch price, paid package, edition table, physical retailer, preorder benefit, or Game Pass catalog announcement. The Closed Network Test does not answer any of those retail questions.
