Who can apply
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- You must live in an eligible region. The United States, Canada, and Mexico are included.
- You need a SEGA Account and a working email address.
- You must select one test platform: Xbox Series X|S / Xbox on PC, PS5, or Steam.
- You must be willing to participate and complete the test survey.
- Minors need permission from a parent or guardian.
Nintendo Switch 2 is confirmed for the retail game but is not a test platform. PS4, Xbox One, and original Switch are not listed.
How application works
- Create or sign in to a SEGA Account.
- Open SEGA's official test page and choose one platform.
- Complete the external application after linking the SEGA Account.
- Check application status on the test website. SEGA says it does not send a separate application-confirmation email.
- If selected, look for an acceptance email in early September and retrieve the download code from the application site.
You cannot edit submitted information. SEGA's published workaround for the wrong platform is to delete the test-site account, return logged out, and apply again with the correct platform.
Priority access does not guarantee a place
Official Discord activity can earn points toward a selection boost. SEGA says that boost improves the chance of selection but does not guarantee acceptance. Other considerations include region, platform, available slots, technical requirements, randomized draws, and operations.
There is no legitimate way to promise an invitation. Avoid pages or messages that sell a “guaranteed beta key.”
Cost and subscriptions
The test is free. SEGA says neither Xbox Game Pass nor PlayStation Plus is required for this test, although players cover their own internet costs. That exception applies to the network test; it does not announce the retail game's online-subscription terms.
