Zenless Zone Zero Overview — Platforms, Steam, and Version 3.2

Zenless Zone Zero is a free-to-play urban-fantasy action RPG from HoYoverse. You play as a Proxy in New Eridu, guiding Agents into monster-filled Hollows to complete commissions, fight Ethereals, and uncover the city's story.

Version 1.0 first launched on PC, Android, iOS, and PS5 on July 4, 2024. Xbox Series X|S followed on June 6, 2025. The June 16/17, 2026 date shown on this page refers only to the later Steam release, not the original game launch.

The basic rhythm moves between life in New Eridu and real-time combat assignments. You accept commissions, enter Hollows with a team of Agents, use attacks, dodges, blocks, and Chain Attacks in battle, then return to the city for the next piece of the story or another job. Steam lists COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD. as both developer and publisher for that release.

What kind of player is it for?

This is the right starting point if you want a character-driven action RPG with an ongoing story and regularly changing version content. The combat is active rather than turn-based, while the city sections provide the people, factions, and commission setup around each trip into a Hollow.

Where can you play?

Zenless Zone Zero is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, iPhone and iPad, and Android. The official storefronts describe it as free to play with in-game purchases.

The Steam account boundary

Steam does not replace the game account. On the first launch, you either link an existing HoYoverse ID or create one through Steam. Existing progress carries over only when the Steam account is linked to the HoYoverse ID that already owns that game account, and you still need to choose the server where that progress lives.

Creating a new HoYoverse ID at the Steam prompt creates a new game character instead of importing an unrelated account. HoYoverse also says the Steam client supports the America, Europe, Asia, and TW/HK/MO servers. The Steam release and account page has the login choices and current PC requirements in one place.

Current snapshot: Version 3.2

The latest official preview is Version 3.2, “Their Secret Histories.” Its story points toward Flint Workshop in Vyrium. HoYoverse names Claret, the workshop's director, and Roxy, her assistant, and confirms new outfits, returning-Agent Signal Searches, new story content, and event modes.

HoYoverse has not yet published a final banner order, complete Agent kits, upgrade materials, best teams, or launch-day balance for Version 3.2. Use the status pages below for the part that has been confirmed.

Claret and Roxy do not yet have enough published live data here for a finished build or farming plan. The final banner schedule is also unconfirmed. Check the linked status pages before spending currency or pre-farming materials.
