Ugoku Sushi Bar Beginner Guide — What to Check on Your First Shift

Learn the service loop, record the right clues, and avoid wasting early ingredients while you map your own build.

The safe first-shift route

1. Treat the tutorial as a data pass

Before optimizing, note four things: the first customer request, the ingredient names shown in the prep interface, where the game displays recipe discovery, and what action ends or advances the shift. These observations are more valuable than a copied “best route” that may belong to the demo or an older build.

2. Keep a three-column note

| Column | Record | Why it matters | | --- | --- | --- | | Request | The exact sushi name or icon | Prevents translating a visual cue incorrectly | | Inputs | Ingredients visibly selected | Builds a verified recipe record | | Result | Customer reaction, score, or unlock message | Separates a successful dish from a merely completed action |

3. Do not spend rare-looking items for testing

If an ingredient appears limited, first check whether the game shows a quantity, restock rule, or unlock hint. Public sources do not yet establish a universal early-game priority. Mark the item as 待确认 / unverified in your notes until the game gives you a repeatable result.

4. Save questions, not just answers

The most useful early questions are concrete: “What is the middle ingredient in Philadelphia Roll?”, “How do I wash a dirty cup or dish?”, and “Which action advances the shift?” Those are better page targets than a generic tier list because they match a player’s immediate search intent.

What this guide does not claim

There is no verified public source for a complete optimal day-by-day route, exact ingredient unlock order, or guaranteed score thresholds at the time of this update. We will add those only after an in-game check with the build and date recorded.

Three launch lessons from the current build

The first post-launch updates show where new players are most likely to lose time:

  • Recipes can be a version issue, not a player mistake. The v1.0.8 notes say some recipes could never enter the customer order pool and specifically call out Rogue Roll. Check the patch number before treating a missing order as an unlock failure.
  • The grill loop has changed. v1.0.7 introduced an improved grill system and fixed save behavior. If an older clip disagrees with the current prompt, trust the in-game prompt and record the build.
  • Dishwashing is a real progression decision. The developer preview says later upgrades can automate washing, and player reviews describe the automated sink as an important early comfort upgrade. That is a quality-of-life recommendation, not a claim that it is the highest-profit purchase.

Media note

The official trailer is embedded on the Ugoku Sushi Bar hub. Use it to recognize the prep table, conveyor belt, and customer-service loop; use this page for the checks that the trailer cannot show.

Quick answers

How many recipes are in Ugoku Sushi Bar?

The Steam Community description says the full game has 100 recipes; the demo has 10. Exact recipe pages should be checked against the current game build.

Should I follow a fixed first-day recipe order?

Not yet. Public sources do not document a verified optimal order, so use the first shift to record what the game teaches and which ingredients are available.
