Nioh 3 Demo Save Transfer — Same Device and Account Rules

Nioh 3 demo progression carries into the full game. On PlayStation 5, the official store gives two concrete conditions: the demo save must remain on the same console, and the full game must use the same PlayStation Network account. It says the data is imported automatically when the full game launches.

Safe transfer order on PS5

1. Leave the demo save on the console where it was created.
2. Sign into the same PSN account used for the demo.
3. Install and update the full game before launching it.
4. Start the full game and allow it to detect the saved demo data.
5. Confirm the continued progress before deleting the demo.

There is one important restriction: PlayStation says that once the full game has been started and creates save data, the demo can no longer be played. Finish anything you still need in the demo before opening the retail version.

Steam and cross-platform limits

Koei Tecmo announced the demo for both PS5 and Steam and states that its progression can carry into the final game. The same-device and same-account wording quoted above comes from the PlayStation listing. No official source used here promises transfer between PS5 and Steam, so do not treat this as cross-platform progression.

The time-limited Twin-Snake Helmet completion window ended February 15, 2026. The PlayStation description also said the helmet could drop from Jakotsu-baba in the full game during that same window; it is not a reason to overwrite a current retail save now.
