AT A GLANCE

The 2026 card-team mode centers its new structure on WBC play, Red Diamonds, Parallel XP 2.0, and connected progression.

MLB The Show 26 Diamond Dynasty adds a World Baseball Classic Mini-Season, Red Diamond rarity, and Parallel XP 2.0. Every Diamond Dynasty submode requires an online connection, even when the immediate activity is not a head-to-head match.

The three headline changes

  • WBC Mini-Season: a themed Mini-Seasons route built around World Baseball Classic content.
  • Red Diamond rarity: a new card rarity above the existing progression structure.
  • Parallel XP 2.0: the revised player-card parallel progression system.

The mode begins with tutorials and then branches into ways to earn packs, rewards, Stubs, and XP Reward Path progress. Those systems overlap, but they are not interchangeable: account XP advances the reward path, card progress serves the relevant player item, and Stubs function as currency.

Competitive online modes require the console's applicable online subscription in addition to the game's server connection. Server maintenance, platform service availability, version mismatch, or account restrictions can therefore block access independently.

Card ratings, programs, pack contents, and the optimal squad can change with live content. This reference establishes the official mode framework; it is not a current card tier list or a promise that a specific pack will contain a Red Diamond.
