GAME INTRODUCTION
What to know before you play

Graveyard Keeper 2 launches September 22, 2026. The official US stores list Windows PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 versions. Every checked platform describes a single-player game; there is no announced online or local co-op mode.

What the sequel adds
The Keeper is now the Grand Inquisitor. Graveyard work and production remain, but the published scope expands in three directions: restoring the long-teased Town, assigning zombies to larger automation systems, and leading an equipped undead army against a zombie apocalypse. Town quests feed a commercial rebuilding loop, while fortifications, weapons, armor, and troop training turn combat into a named system rather than a side reference.
The visual pipeline also changes. Lazy Bear says the world is built in 3D while retaining the fixed viewpoint and recognizable art direction. That supports dynamic lighting, weather, shadows, and more layered spaces; it does not prove performance or camera comfort on every platform before release.
What changes from the first game
| Returning-player question | Confirmed sequel answer |
|---|---|
| Is it the same map? | No. The disclosed world includes southern outskirts, another village, tavern, forest, swamp, church, graveyard, and the Town restoration area |
| When does the story happen? | Eight years after the earlier story |
| Is the Tech Tree gone? | No. The familiar Tech Tree remains, with a separate talent system added |
| Can I use the Teleportstone? | No. Fast travel uses Milestones instead |
| Do characters still appear on set days? | Some character interactions still follow designated days |
| Is zombie automation still present? | Yes. Zombies can work in expanded underground factory systems and also participate in combat |
This is enough to make a returning-player comparison, but not a launch walkthrough. The developer has not published every Milestone location, unlock cost, best talent order, factory ratio, or weekday schedule. Those questions need the retail build rather than pre-release inference.
Buying snapshot

There is no single universal US base price across platforms. List prices and time-limited store or membership preorder offers are different fields, and the September 4 snapshot is not a promise that any offer remains available later. Checkout on each store is authoritative. For the full platform and price table, use the release and buying page.
No beginner route, recipe list, best automation layout, combat build, or review verdict is published here before the retail version can be checked. The useful pre-launch job is to settle what can be bought, where it runs, what the bonus includes, and which systems the developer has actually described.
