Forza Horizon 6 supports crossplay between Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam, and the future PlayStation 5 version. Crossplay lets those players share supported online activities; it does not share purchases, subscriptions, or DLC licenses.

Before blaming crossplay
- Confirm both players are using a released, supported platform. PS5 cannot join before the PS5 version launches.
- Confirm each player can enter online play on their own platform.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account associated with the game profile where required.
- Check privacy and multiplayer permissions on console and Microsoft accounts.
- Make sure both players are trying the same supported activity, not assuming every solo event accepts a convoy.
- Restart the convoy or session only after the account and activity checks are complete.
Steam's legal notice says Microsoft account registration is required for cross-platform play. Console players may also need the platform's paid online multiplayer service. Those requirements are separate from owning the base game.
Crossplay and cross-save are not synonyms. Crossplay answers “can we play together?” Cross-save answers “can I continue my profile there?” Forza Horizon 6 supports both, but the setup and purchase consequences differ. Use cross-save and Play Anywhere before moving your own profile.
The official material also confirms online PvP and online co-op, but it does not list local split-screen in the current Steam feature set. Do not buy a second controller expecting couch co-op based only on the word “multiplayer.”
