Why the PS5 date is not yet a universal timestamp
The current US PlayStation product page is more precise than the original Spring 2027 announcement: it lists April 8 and 04:00 UTC. Xbox, Nintendo, and Steam still expose a broader year or season. Those records are not contradictory, but they do not prove that every platform unlocks at the PS5 timestamp.
No official source checked here supplies a complete regional unlock chart or preload schedule for every platform. The PlayStation Store also lists 24-hour early access with the Premium and Premium Plus editions; that benefit is a PS5 store entitlement unless another platform's official offer confirms the same terms.
Is the launch simultaneous?
Square Enix's official reveal presents the platform list under one Spring 2027 release statement, and the official Final Fantasy channel says the game will be released on those platforms in that window. There is no announced delayed PC, Xbox, or Switch 2 version.
That supports a planned multi-platform launch, but not a universal hour. Platform certification, time zones, physical shipping, and storefront unlock times can still differ. A true simultaneous-time answer requires the later official unlock schedule.
What to do now
PS5 buyers can now preorder through the US PlayStation Store. Buyers on Xbox, Switch 2, Steam, or Epic should use their own official product page and wait for a price and purchase control there. The price and edition status page separates the confirmed PS5 offer from still-unconfirmed platform terms.
