WHAT CHANGED

Frostburn rebuilds progression and mission spending while adding three melee weapons, shield points, five Frost spells, new quests, Hellfire, and broad balance changes.

Far Far West Frostburn changes progression before it changes builds. Weapon fragments were replaced by universal Blueprints, while purchases made inside a mission now use Uranium instead of long-term Gold. Unspent Uranium converts to character and weapon XP at mission end.

SystemFrostburn change
Weapon unlocksCollect universal Blueprints and spend them in the lobby
Mission economyBuy with Uranium; remaining Uranium becomes XP
DiscoveryComplete lighthouse minigames to reveal unique locations
MeleeKnuckles, Lasso, and Banjo
DefenseShield points added
FrostCube, Bridge, Breeze, Glaze, and Blizzard spells
MapsThree Jungle quests and a secret; Hellfire with three quests and a secret

The patch also changes many Jokers, recodes parts of enemy AI, adds Discord Rich Presence, rebalances combat values, and lists more than 100 fixes. Hotfix 0.2.0.4 is the current boundary checked here, so a build copied from pre-Frostburn videos may use obsolete slot, damage, lifesteal, or economy assumptions.

Lighthouses are especially important for navigation: they now reveal unique locations rather than forcing players to identify every special structure from its minimap outline. That is a confirmed system improvement, but exact lighthouse solutions and secret routes still require version-specific reproduction.
