Ending A uses the toy saw, Ending B uses the real saw, and Ending C requires the hidden routes in Misery Town, Timesville, and The Workplace before the final return to Mellow's room.
Major spoilers: Ending A and B are selected by the saw in the Chapter II epilogue. Choose the toy saw for Ending A (Escape) or the real saw for Ending B (Return). Ending C (Stay) is not a third saw choice: it requires hidden work in all three Chapter I regions and a different final trigger.
Make one reusable save first
Before defeating the region bosses, bring Misery Town, Timesville, and The Workplace close to completion, then save with the Super-Saver. Close Endacopia and copy the save folder:
C:\Users\<your name>\Saved Games\Endacopia\
Restore from that copy only while the game is closed. This lets you complete A and B, then return to a Chapter I state where the three Ending C secrets remain available.
Ending A: Escape
During the Chapter II epilogue, take the cartoonish toy saw and give it to the bathroom creature. Complete the Chapter III route, use the final marked door, and accept Tip's help. The resulting branch leads to Ending A and the Escape achievement.
Ending B: Return
At the same Chapter II choice, take the real saw. Complete Chapter III, use the final marked door, and continue through the altered passage and house sequence. This branch awards Ending B and the Return achievement.
The saw choice is the clean distinction between A and B. It does not replace the three hidden prerequisites for C.
Ending C: complete three area secrets
Do these before closing the Chapter I regions with their boss outcomes.
1. Timesville secret
- Obtain the Metal Detector and dig up the Fish Paper.
- Catch all 18 fish, then inspect the paper for the old key.
- Complete the dollhouse sequence and return to its monochrome room.
- Switch from fullscreen to windowed mode with Alt+Enter; use the key on the revealed keyhole.
- In the past-Timesville sequence, speak to the six figures and continue to the cemetery X-ray puzzle.
For the X-ray board, align the holes shown in the front and top images before confirming with the upper middle control. Finishing the sequence returns you to the transformed dollhouse.
2. Misery Town secret
- Take the Metal Detector into the theater with the rows of colored seats.
- Dig up the Projector Remote and use it on the screen.
- Record the displayed route map.
- Return to the checkered Mimic Room where the Hands were found and follow that route.
- Continue through the hidden rooms and complete the four capsule tasks until the sequence returns you to Misery Town.
Do not confuse this with merely recovering the Hands. Ending C uses a later Metal Detector and projector step to reopen the area in a different way.
3. The Workplace secret
- Bring the Telescope to The Workplace train-station entrance near the sleeping figure with the wrench.
- Use it to read the billboard phone number:
277-5944. - Call that number from the office Jobs app.
- The Morse message resolves to
BEHIND STAIRS WAIT A MINUTE. - Go to the stairs near the vending machine and stand behind the left staircase for one minute.
- Enter the green room and complete its symbol puzzles.
This one really does use a one-minute wait; it is not an instruction to idle for an arbitrary amount of time elsewhere.
Final Ending C trigger
After all three secrets are complete, finish the three region bosses and continue through Chapters II and III. The current ending guides disagree on whether the saw matters for this branch, so use the toy saw if you want the most consistently documented route.
At the final return, do not enter the door marked “Do Not Enter.” Go back to Mellow's room. The changed room triggers the Overclockey encounter. Defeat it, pass through the wall opening, and follow the book and Surgeon sequence to complete Ending C and unlock Stay.
Current guide corrections say skipping the first Clockey fight is not a required Ending C condition. Do not restart solely because an older guide told you that opening encounter invalidated the run.
If Ending C does not trigger
- Confirm you saw the completion state for all three hidden area sequences—not just their first clue.
- Keep the final marked door closed and return to Mellow's room.
- Update the game: Patch 1.07 added a Steam API recheck for ending achievements from the title screen.
- If the ending played but the achievement did not appear, return to the title screen on the current build before editing or deleting saves.
