AT A GLANCE

Each of the three roles owns a different part of the bomb-disposal information, so two-player and four-player teams are not supported.

BOMBANANA requires exactly three players because the bomb, manual, sight, hearing, speech, and physical interaction are deliberately split across three asymmetric roles. Steam says “no more, no less.”

RoleHas access toMissing channel
Blind monkeyCan touch and operate the bombCannot see colors or read screens
Mute monkeyCan read the bomb-disposal manualCannot tell the others by speaking
Deaf monkeyCan see the bomb and teammates' gesturesCannot hear speech

Communication channels the game names

The official feature list includes pointing, waving, gestures, body movement, and voice chat. Those channels are intentionally uneven. A useful team therefore needs to identify who owns the observation, who owns the rule, and who can perform the input before the timer expires.

That is the stable pre-release answer. A sentence-by-sentence script for a particular module would require the retail module name, role assignment, exact display state, allowed channels, successful input sequence, failure message, screenshot, and build number. Publishing those scripts from trailers or old demo memory would create the same low-quality problem the site is trying to eliminate.

QUICK ANSWERS

Questions players ask next

What does each BOMBANANA role do?

The blind monkey manipulates the bomb without seeing colors or text; the mute monkey reads the manual; the deaf monkey sees the bomb and gestures but cannot hear.

Does BOMBANANA require a microphone?

Voice chat is an announced feature, but the official description also allows gestures such as pointing and waving. It does not publish a universal hardware requirement beyond network and sound support.
