AT A GLANCE

Battlefield 6 offers Quality and Performance priorities on current consoles; EA publishes different maximum resolution and frame-rate figures for each model.

Battlefield 6 official air and ground combat

Battlefield 6 lets PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X players prioritize image quality or performance. EA lists more than 80 FPS for the Performance modes on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Series X; Series S is listed separately at up to 1080p and 60 FPS.

Official console targets

Console and modeMaximum resolution stated by EAFrame-rate statement
Xbox Series S1080p60 FPS
Xbox Series X Quality1440p60 FPS
Xbox Series X Performance1280pMore than 80 FPS
PlayStation 5 Quality1440p60 FPS
PlayStation 5 Performance1280pMore than 80 FPS
PlayStation 5 Pro Quality2160p60 FPS
PlayStation 5 Pro Performance1620pMore than 80 FPS

These are publisher maximums. They do not say that every map, scene, display, or combat load remains at the maximum value. A measured performance review would require repeatable retail-build capture; this page reports EA's specification rather than pretending it ran that benchmark.

Which mode fits the display?

  • Choose Quality when image resolution is the priority and the display is built around 60 Hz play.
  • Choose Performance when the display supports higher refresh rates and input responsiveness matters more than the maximum image resolution.
  • On Series S, use the published 1080p/60 figure as the official boundary; do not assume the Series X or PS5 toggle has an identical Series S equivalent.
  • On PS5 Pro, the published maximum is higher in both priorities than on base PS5.

A television must support the selected refresh behavior through the correct HDMI input and display mode. EA's table does not replace the console's own 120 Hz, VRR, or video-output setup, and it does not promise that a display reports the same number during every scene.

PC is a separate decision

These console targets should not be copied to PC. Windows performance depends on the selected resolution, graphics settings, CPU, GPU, drivers, and current game build. Compare the machine against the official Battlefield 6 PC requirements, then use an actual frame counter or benchmark for the chosen configuration.

If the problem is network delay rather than frame rate, open the Battlefield 6 high-ping guide. If the goal is to change the player pool, use the crossplay console-pool guide.

Yes. EA lists a PS5 Performance mode with a maximum resolution of 1280p and a frame rate above 80 FPS.

What does Battlefield 6 run at on PS5 Pro?

EA lists up to 2160p at 60 FPS in Quality mode and up to 1620p at more than 80 FPS in Performance mode.

Does Xbox Series S have a performance mode?

EA's published table lists Xbox Series S at a maximum 1080p and 60 FPS; it does not publish a separate Series S Performance-mode target.

Are the listed resolutions and frame rates guaranteed at all times?
