Avatar Legends launches with 12 playable fighters. Official web sources directly name Aang, Korra, Katara, Toph, Zuko, Sokka, Azula, and Kyoshi, while the Year 1 Pass names Iroh, Ty Lee, Lin Beifong, Bolin, and one vote winner.

The reliable boundary is:

• PM Studios and PlayStation confirm 12 playable launch fighters.
• The closed-beta announcement names Aang, Korra, Katara, Toph, Zuko, Sokka, and Azula.
• An official Xbox Wire article also names Kyoshi in the game.
• Each main fighter can select from three associated support characters; those supports are not counted as the 12 playable fighters.
• Year 1 adds five playable fighters over the season: Iroh, Ty Lee, Lin Beifong, Bolin, and the character-vote winner.

The current official product pages do not expose one complete text table naming all 12 launch fighters. This page therefore does not copy the remaining names from a third-party wiki and present them as publisher data. The in-game character-select screen is the direct released-build source for the full current list; this page will expand when the publisher posts a complete roster or an audited current-build record is added.

That limitation is preferable to a polished but unsupported list. It also prevents mixing support characters, beta participants, and later DLC into the launch 12.
