What Xbox cross-platform co-op means here
The Xbox store has a specific “Xbox cross-platform co-op” capability label. That supports play across compatible Xbox ecosystem versions. It does not, by itself, prove that a Steam player can join PS5, that Switch 2 can join Xbox, or that all four platform families share one matchmaking pool.
A full crossplay matrix needs Saber to name the connected platforms. Until then, a page that says “full crossplay confirmed” is extending one store label beyond its evidence.
Subscription requirements
PlayStation says PS Plus is required for online play. Xbox says online console multiplayer requires Xbox Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Ultimate. Steam lists online co-op but does not require a console subscription.
Those subscriptions apply to online access. They do not establish whether Turok: Origins will be included in a subscription catalog; that separate question is covered on the price and Game Pass status page.
How co-op connects to the design
Game director Jesus Iglesias says the story features more than one Turok and ties into the Order of the Turok, which created a natural opportunity for co-op. Xbox Wire also explains that DNA abilities can complement a teammate's move—for example, one power can control an enemy while another player attacks.
That supports cooperative ability combinations. It does not yet establish final classes, matchmaking rules, difficulty scaling, shared loot, revive mechanics, progression transfer, or the best team composition.
