The original PlayStation explanation says Gwendolyn can manifest two knights at her side. Charging, defending, and combo support are named roles. The later Xbox breakdown expands the loadout into two swappable sets and four equipped knights.
Sir Lamorak and the Tyronoe fight
Tyronoe is the witch boss in the Xbox Partner Preview sequence. She changes shape, creates clones, and divides the fight with a Mirror Space Folded Realm. Sir Lamorak appears on the other side of that barrier and gives Gwendolyn his spear so she can break the separation.
The encounter then lets the player control Gwendolyn and Lamorak simultaneously, fighting inside and outside the linked spaces. It demonstrates one bespoke use of the knight system.
