Starsand Island System Requirements — 20 GB, 8 GB Minimum

FIRST CHECK

The official minimum is an i3-2120/A10-8750, 8 GB RAM, GTX 650/R9 M375X and 20 GB; recommended rises to 16 GB and RTX 2060/RX 5700.

Starsand Island needs 20 GB of free storage and at least 8 GB of RAM on PC. The official minimum GPU is a GeForce GTX 650 or Radeon R9 M375X-class card; the recommended target is an RTX 2060 or RX 5700 with 16 GB RAM.

The minimum list is a launch boundary, not a promise of one resolution or frame rate. Steam does not attach a target such as 1080p/60 to either tier.

Before installing

Leave more than exactly 20 GB free so Steam can download and unpack updates. A console's file size should not be used to predict the Windows install: Nintendo lists 9.8 GB for Switch 2, while the PC store reserves 20 GB.

Steam lists full controller support, DualSense support, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing. These feature labels do not establish Steam Deck performance, Linux compatibility, or cross-platform multiplayer.

If performance is poor

Confirm the game is using the dedicated GPU, install the current graphics driver, and lower the heaviest graphics options one at a time. Compare the live version number with current patch notes, especially when console and PC updates arrive on different schedules.
