Multiplayer is a two-to-four-player session unlocked after three Erpp Island raids.
Splatoon Raiders supports two to four players through local wireless or online play. It can also be played solo. Multiplayer unlocks after the host completes the first three raids on Erpp Island.
The host then uses the radio on the hideout ship to choose a connection type and create a session. Nintendo notes that one member of Deep Cut is controlled by the game during group play, so a four-player session should not be described as four manually controlled Deep Cut characters.
Player count does not answer every connectivity question. Online play can depend on Nintendo Account, subscription, network, age settings, software version, and region-specific service terms. Local wireless requires nearby Switch 2 systems and separate supported setups.
If the multiplayer option is missing, do not repeatedly restart at the title screen. First verify the story prerequisite, then follow how to start multiplayer. For choosing the connection method, see local wireless versus online.
