The first Season 4 Team Drive runs from September 4 at 11 AM PT to September 7 at 11 AM PT. Winning automatically groups you with the other winners for the next match, and consecutive team wins grant increasing Fame bonuses toward Gladiator Ranks.
How Team Drives work
- Queue solo, bring friends, or enter with a full stack.
- After a win, matched teammates automatically remain grouped for the next queue.
- Consecutive wins as a team increase the Fame bonus. Leaving the group keeps your individual bonus, but removes the bonuses contributed by the teammates you left.
- Gladiator Ranks function like Drive checkpoints.
- Completion requires passing The Trial by winning three of your last four matches.
Auto-grouping can be disabled under Social → General → Groups → Enable Auto-Grouping on Team Drive Wins. Playing solo remains possible, but Blizzard says progress will be harder because you will receive fewer teammate bonuses.
Rewards
Team Drives award Competitive Points and Player Card Frames rather than the nameplate Signatures used by regular Drives. The first 10,000 players to finish The Trial receive a temporary dynamic title showing their completion order; Blizzard says those titles unlock after the event ends.
