Capcom moved the worldwide release to September 4; Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC are confirmed.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword releases worldwide on September 4, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC. Capcom moved the game forward from the previously announced September 25 date.
| Platform | Status |
|---|---|
| PlayStation 5 | Confirmed |
| Xbox Series X | S |
| Windows PC / Steam | Confirmed |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | Confirmed |
| PS4 / Xbox One | Not announced |
| Nintendo Switch | Not announced |
US Steam customers may see September 3 because of time-zone conversion around the global unlock. That does not represent a separate full day of early access. When an older PlayStation Blog post and Capcom's newer notice disagree, the newer Capcom date is the one to use.
The September 4 date applies to the announced Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC editions. Capcom has not announced a PS4, Xbox One, or original Switch version. The free demo is a separate PS5 download, not an extra launch platform.
The Early Adopter Bonus is a purchasing window, not a second release date, and the official cutoffs differ by storefront:
- Nintendo Switch 2: through September 24, 2026 at 8:59 PM PDT, according to Nintendo US.
- Capcom Town offer: through September 25, 2026 at 4:59 PM PDT / 7:59 PM EDT. Verify the cutoff on the exact PS5, Xbox, Steam, Epic, or Windows product page before buying; the cited stores do not establish one shared deadline.
