Xbox lists the Standard Edition with PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate on day one, plus Play Anywhere across Xbox Series and Windows PC with Xbox cloud saves.
Xbox lists the Minecraft Dungeons II Standard Edition with PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate on day one. The same store listing marks the game as Xbox Play Anywhere and supports Xbox cloud saves.
Those are two different decisions. Game inclusion tells you which subscriptions currently list the Standard Edition. Xbox Play Anywhere tells you that a participating digital Xbox purchase works on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC under the same Microsoft account. Xbox says progress, add-ons, and achievements follow that account between supported Xbox and Windows devices.
Game inclusion and console multiplayer are separate entitlements. Xbox lists Essential, Premium, or Ultimate for console online multiplayer. Of those console plans, only Ultimate is also listed as including Minecraft Dungeons II; PC Game Pass includes the PC version. Buying the Xbox digital version enables Play Anywhere, but console online multiplayer still requires Essential, Premium, or Ultimate. The sources below do not extend Play Anywhere or Xbox cloud-save promises to Steam, PlayStation, or Nintendo copies.
| Feature | Scope |
|---|---|
| PC Game Pass | Standard Edition currently listed |
| Game Pass Ultimate | Standard Edition currently listed |
| Console online multiplayer | Essential, Premium, or Ultimate |
| Xbox Play Anywhere | Participating digital copy works on Xbox Series + Windows PC |
| Xbox cloud saves | Listed; Play Anywhere policy covers progress on supported Xbox/Windows devices |
| Other storefronts | Not covered by the Xbox Play Anywhere promise |

QUICK ANSWERS
Questions players ask next
Which Game Pass tiers include Minecraft Dungeons II?
The current Xbox Store listing places the Standard Edition under PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate. That is the current official listing, not a promise that every Game Pass plan includes the game.
Do I need to buy Minecraft Dungeons II twice for Xbox and PC?
Not when using a participating Xbox digital copy on Xbox Series and Windows PC with the same Microsoft account under Xbox Play Anywhere. Play Anywhere does not describe licenses from other storefronts.
Do Minecraft Dungeons II saves sync between Xbox and PC?
Xbox lists cloud saves, and the Play Anywhere policy says progress follows the same Microsoft account between supported Xbox and Windows PC devices. The official listing does not extend that promise to PlayStation, Nintendo, or Steam saves.
Which Game Pass plans are needed for console online multiplayer?
Xbox lists Essential, Premium, or Ultimate for console online multiplayer. Ultimate is the only one of those three also listed as including Minecraft Dungeons II; PC Game Pass includes the PC version but is not a console multiplayer plan.
