The confirmed premise
Deep Silver describes Stranger as a drifter moving through a fractured post-apocalyptic world. The Novoreich regime, led by Hunter, is central to the conflict. The reveal establishes those names and roles but does not provide a full plot synopsis, connection chart, ending, campaign length, or confirmation that earlier protagonists are playable.
The gameplay description returns to four Metro pillars: exploration, survival, combat, and stealth. Official footage demonstrates the intended atmosphere and action, but it does not establish the final difficulty balance, weapon list, open-world structure, morality system, crafting tree, or PC performance.
Xbox marks the game as Play Anywhere, so a digital Xbox purchase supports Xbox Series and Windows PC under that program. Its cloud listing says a purchase is required even for eligible cloud access; it should not be reported as a confirmed Game Pass catalog inclusion.
