“One continuous experience” describes how Ubisoft is connecting the story material. It does not prove that every scenario begins in the same order as the classic releases or that old save files carry over. Until Ubisoft publishes the campaign menu and save rules, classic walkthroughs remain historical references rather than verified remake routes.

Conflux is the important dividing line when comparing this package with the 2015 HD Edition. The HD Edition was based on The Restoration of Erathia, whereas Ubisoft's remake announcement explicitly includes both expansions and lists Conflux among the nine factions.

What the new prologue does

Ubisoft calls the prologue an introductory campaign designed to bring players into Erathia and teach the world and gameplay. That supports its purpose, but not a mission list, playable hero, length, tutorial sequence, or completion reward. Those details remain unannounced.

The same limit applies to faction balance. Ubisoft says each faction has its own playstyle and creatures, but has not published complete unit rosters, statistics, spell changes, hero skills, or a balance table for the remake. A “best faction” page would therefore be speculation at this stage.

For the release platforms, use release date, consoles, Steam, and Ubisoft+. For legacy scenarios, use map compatibility, editors, and the UGC hub.
