As of September 1, Ultimate Plus is no longer purchasable; Ultimate preorders remain open through September 24, with early access from September 18.
As of September 1, FC 27 Ultimate Plus is no longer for sale. The live choice is Standard for the September 25 launch or Ultimate for access from September 18. EA says Ultimate preorders remain available through September 24; its US purchase terms give PC and console storefronts slightly different cutoff times.
| Edition | Purchase status after August 31 | Play date | Key edition content |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | Available; preorder bonuses have a September 24 cutoff | September 25 | Full game; no early access |
| Ultimate | Available to preorder through September 24 | September 18 | Up to 6,000 FC Points across three monthly drops; Season 1 Premium Pass |
| Ultimate Plus | No longer purchasable | September 18 for players who already purchased it | Up to 10,000 FC Points across five monthly drops; Premium Passes for Seasons 1–5 |
What changed on September 1
EA limits Ultimate Plus to the July 23–August 31 early-bird window. The official FAQ also says it was not offered on Nintendo platforms or the Epic Games Store, and that an Ultimate purchase cannot be upgraded to Ultimate Plus. The current EA purchase page still names Plus in some benefit comparisons; the FAQ's sales-window rule is the applicable availability statement.
Ultimate remains a preorder option after the early-bird window, but do not assume an order after August 31 includes every early-bird bonus. EA separates the August 31 package from the September 1–24 Ultimate preorder period.
Preorder cutoff and access dates
EA's edition FAQ uses September 24 as the Ultimate preorder end date. On the US purchase page, the promotional cutoff is September 24 at 11:00 p.m. UTC for PC and September 25 at 12:00 a.m. local time for other platforms. Ultimate and previously purchased Ultimate Plus copies begin on September 18; Standard launches on September 25.
FC Points are delivered in installments, not as one balance. EA says the first grant arrives with the first FC 27 login, and later grants arrive on the 15th of subsequent months. Standard still includes the full game, so the edition decision is about timing and digital content rather than access to a separate campaign.
