Crossplay works across matching hardware generations in supported modes, but it is not universal cross-progression between platform accounts.
EA Sports FC 26 crossplay has two generation pools: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC play together; PS4 and Xbox One play together. Switch and Switch 2 are excluded. Crossplay does not transfer progression from PlayStation to Xbox.
Supported FC 26 modes include Clubs and Clubs Rush, Co-op Seasons, Live Events, Online Friendlies, Online Seasons, and multiple Ultimate Team activities such as Rivals, Champions, Online Draft, Play A Friend, Rush, and listed co-op modes.
Crossplay is enabled by default and can be changed through EA connect. If friends cannot match, verify four things:
- Both are in the same hardware-generation pool.
- The selected mode appears in EA's supported list.
- Both games are current and crossplay is enabled.
- Platform accounts and console online entitlements are active.
EA describes cross-progression within one platform family, such as PS4 to PS5 or Xbox One to Xbox Series. It does not promise PlayStation-to-Xbox or console-to-PC transfer.
