If a College Football 27 Team Builder team will not update, remove unsupported assets and put the five uniform combinations you want to keep in the first five slots. EA says teams exceeding the supported uniform limit, along with unsupported fonts or textures, can cause slowdowns, failed updates, or Dynasty instability.
What EA says to do now
- Open the web version of the created team and confirm that it contains only supported logos, fonts, and textures.
- Move the five uniform combinations you care about into slots one through five.
- Publish the web version only after its logos, field, stadium, crowd, and uniform choices are final.
- Use the in-game update/import control to refresh the team.
- If it still fails, preserve the published team and wait for EA's fix rather than repeatedly adding more asset variants.
EA has not said that affected teams will be deleted. Its August notice says created teams remain available, but unsupported fonts and textures may be removed and up to five uniform combinations will be available in game after the planned fix. The checked official feed does not yet include a later article declaring that fix complete.
What Team Builder can change
The 2027 version expands beyond logos and jerseys. EA's Dynasty deep dive lists stadium backgrounds, jumbotrons, crowd patterns, stripe-out logic, fields, and other home-field details. A full reimport replaces the in-game created team with the newest published website version, so the website copy should be treated as the source of truth before updating.
Team Builder also reaches Road to Glory. EA says all six high-school teams can be replaced with created teams, and college programs can be replaced so a Road to Glory player can later sign with one of those programs. That is a supported customization path, not evidence that arbitrary real-world roster files or unsupported art will import safely.
