Enhanced is not a separate sequel or paid remaster: supported-platform owners receive it by updating the existing Crimson Desert product.
Crimson Desert Enhanced is free for existing Crimson Desert owners. It is version 2.00.00 of the same product, not a sequel, remaster fee, or second Steam app. On a supported storefront, install the latest game update and then verify that the title screen or version record shows 2.00.00.
| Store or platform | Enhanced status checked August 28 |
|---|---|
| Steam on Windows | Released through the existing product |
| Steam on Mac | Released through the existing product |
| PlayStation | Released |
| Xbox | Released |
| Epic Games Store | Released |
| Mac App Store | Pearl Abyss still lists the update as in progress |
The “Enhanced” label describes a substantial update: added story material, revised boss context, new skills, progression changes, new voice languages, and previous post-launch updates bundled into the current build. It does not create separate ownership. Steam still uses app 3321460, so buying another base copy is unnecessary if that app is already in the account.
If the update is not appearing, first check the platform's download queue, restart its client, and compare the installed version rather than searching for a second store listing. Mac users must distinguish the Steam Mac edition from the Mac App Store edition because Pearl Abyss gave them different rollout states.
