The latest published Beast of Reincarnation patch is v1.0.8 on PC and Xbox and v1.006.000 on PlayStation 5. Fictions released it on August 14, after the first post-launch patch. Check the version before applying an older workaround.

Check the installed version
- On PS5, highlight the game in the library, open the Options menu, choose Check for Update, then confirm version 01.006.000 after installation.
- On Xbox, open Manage game and add-ons, choose Updates, and confirm the installed build reports 1.0.8.0.
- On Steam, open the Library and allow the Update button or download queue to finish; the publisher's instructions identify 1.0.8.0 as the target.
Do not describe planned work as already shipped. The earlier v1.0.7 article said camera-distance and subtitle-size options were being planned. Camera distance arrived in v1.0.8, but the latest notes do not prove that every planned subtitle option arrived at the same time.
The patch changes how older advice should be read. Camera complaints written before August 14 may lack the new distance choices. PC remapping workarounds may be obsolete. Cloud players who were blocked by delayed enemy spawns should update before restarting a save.
